Resizely Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026 · App: Resizely (com.yashstudios.resizely) · Developer: Yash Labs
Resizely resizes and compresses photos on your device. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: your photos and file names are never sent to us or to the services below. We use two services: one for crash reports and one for notifications.
Photos you choose
When you pick photos with the system photo picker or share them to Resizely, the app makes a temporary copy in its private storage, resizes it on your device, and shows you the result. Nothing is uploaded. Temporary copies are replaced when you start a new batch and removed when you uninstall the app.
Resized photos are only saved to your gallery (in a "Resizely" album) or shared with another app when you tap Save to Gallery or Share.
Data we collect
Resizely has no accounts, no advertising and no servers of its own, and it does not ask for your name, contacts or location. The two services below receive only the data they describe. Data is sent over the internet, so these two features need a connection; working with your photos does not.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives the crash details, information about your device such as its model and Android version, the app version, and a random ID for this installation. We use this only to find and fix bugs. Crash reports we send do not include your photos or their names.
Notifications
OneSignal delivers notifications from us. It receives a push token, an ID for this installation, your IP address and country, device model, Android version, carrier, language, time zone, app version, your notification permission and when and how much you use the app. We use this to send notifications and choose who receives them. You can turn notifications off in Android settings.
Data stored on your device
The app keeps one counter on your device: how many batches you have resized. It is used only to decide when to ask for a rating, never leaves your phone, and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Permissions
- Photos: the app uses Android's photo picker, so it can only see the photos you select.
- Notifications (Android 13 and newer): the app asks before showing notifications.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only): needed to save resized photos to your gallery.
Ratings
After you have used the app a few times, it may show Google Play's in-app rating dialog. That dialog is provided by Google Play and governed by Google's Privacy Policy; Resizely does not see your rating or review.
Children
Resizely does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a future version of the app adds features such as advertising, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Deleting your data
To ask us to delete data linked to your device, open Settings in the app, tap Copy Device ID and email the ID to team@yashstudios.com. We will delete the OneSignal data for that ID. Crash reports cannot be matched to it; Firebase keeps them for 90 days and then starts removing them. The app creates a new ID the next time it opens, so uninstall it first if you do not want new data collected.
